Michelle M Deyarmin grew up in a small town in Ohio. In 6th grade she signed up for a short story contest through her school. She didn't make the team and she was devastated, but her teacher at the time reassured her by telling her that her writing was good and she just needed more time to develop the story. This has always stuck with Michelle.
Michelle currently lives with her fiancé, Luke and their dogs Rosie, Sage, and Sweetpea.
"Sandy the Service Dog: Lost in a Hurricane" is Michelle's first published book. She is very proud of how far she has come.
Michelle also writes lyrics and has 6 fully finished songs. She also dabbled in poetry when she was younger and won numerous contests.
"Sandy the Service Dog is an exceptional book with amazing characters and a detailed backdrop that takes the reader into another world. During a hurricane, Sandy is separated from her owner and is forced into an adventure that gives Sandy with the knowledge that she is stronger than she thought. The author, Michelle Deyarmin, provides you colorful conversations held between three animals as they travel together to get Sandy back home. It was enjoyable to read about Sandy and her adventures. Great book for children of all ages."
"I loved your book. Sandy and Max are my favorite characters. In the story Sandy gets lost and Ricky and Max help her get home. They meet an alligator and Max finally 😊 gets Sandy home. Max is sad so Sandy tells him to come home with her. Luke hugs Max and asks for Max to be his dog, and in the end, Max is a part of the family. I loved your book SO 😊much. It was amazing and I loved all of it. 😊" --Child age 10
