"Bartleby The Brave is an exceptionally illustrated book with an important storyline about being kind and brave. The birds used in the illustrations are creatively penciled with unique markings that bring movement to each page. The main character of the story, Bartleby, is described as a kind bird who encounters two difficult birds that take a special spot in a tree from him. Bartleby handles this with caution and care. He chooses not to react negatively and later finds himself in a unique situation. While reading Bartleby the Brave, children, and parents will find themselves talking about positive ways to handle situations with difficult people. My children freely opened up about ways they would handle Bartleby’s encounter with the two birds. A great book that teaches kindness and bravery. I highly recommend this book to parents and educators." -School Psychologist
“Bartleby The Brave is a good book about a little bird who stands up to bullies who try to take his seat. He goes through the feelings of worry and fear, but handles them with bravery at the same time. The pictures look hand drawn and nicely done. I can tell the season is fall and it is cold. I love your book." -Child age 10
"Tears for The Butterfly is a beautifully illustrated book that delicately teaches children about death and loss. Throughout the story, the Butterfly kindly tends to other animals in the forest as they deal with different types of losses. Some simple as not being able to find their friends to the death of a loved one. The Butterfly shows kindness and supports each animal by listening to their feelings and comforting them with positive words. Children will learn that when we support one another during the difficult times, they will feel at peace with what is causing them to feel sad or hurt. My children enjoyed the artwork and were very touched by the story. I recommend this book to parents. The storyline will help children deal with the loss of a pet, loved one, or even the loss of a friendship. Excellent book!"

“Tears for The Butterfly is a touching story about a little butterfly who helps all those around her. She tells to be grateful, to listen for the soft sound, and to be happy for a friend. I love this book because there is a science fact and beautiful artwork. Mostly, I like how the butterfly’s actions and words can change the environment she lives in." -Child age 10
